How do I know if I qualify?
To qualify, you must be a student aged 13 to 16 in 9th or 10th grade who sees their future in the stars! We’re looking for people who are passionate about space, its implications for humanity, and our collective place in the cosmos. At this time we are only accepting applications from US residents, regardless of immigration status.

What is included with the fellowship/ What to expect?
The flagship experience of the fellowship is a week-long space camp at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas - at space camp fellows will have the opportunity to explore what life is like in mission control and as an astronaut while getting to know their fellow fellows. Following space camp, the TCS Fellowship provides one-on-one mentoring with an industry mentor who will work with the fellow to help explore careers in aerospace and develop the fellow’s skills. All mentoring is personalized based on the fellow’s interests. Additionally, the fellows will participate in collaborative workshops by industry professionals, astronauts, and scientists. The TCS fellowship will also provide access to SAT/ACT prep, and assistance with college application fees [is this confirmed].
What is the space camp? Where is it located?
Space camp takes place at The Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Cosmosphere is a world renowned aerospace museum and has been running a space camp since 1985. At space camp fellows will participate in mission simulations as both astronauts and mission control engineers, learning what it takes to execute NASA’s most complex missions, they will also train like an astronaut on Cosmosphere equipment like the 4-G Centrifuge, the Multi-Axis Trainer (MAT) and a Russian Soyuz Spacecraft Simulator, build and launch payloads, tour the Cosmosphere museum and more! Do I have to pay for space camp?
No! The Fellowship covers space camp itself and transportation to and from The Cosmosphere where camp takes place.

Who are the mentors?
The mentors are aerospace professionals with experience ranging from reusable launch vehicles and rocket propulsion, flight operations, autonomous satellite constellations, advanced model rocketry, satellite integration and test, and more! They have wide ranging backgrounds, and are bound by a common excitement towards space exploration and the belief that we can shape the future of the industry.
